A year and a month. I missed my anniversary.
That's how long its been since I first published the Western Front. I think I actually started writing in April or May. It's been pretty exciting, this first year of writing. I started out naive, not having ever written any fiction before and being a new name in our little community.
Fortunately, I've been blessed.
You guys hung with me and overlooked a lot of mistakes and poorly written work early on. Slowly, I've become better at the craft - my dialogue has improved, prose is more polished and I've learned how to tell a story without wandering about (too much). I've made a lot of friends along the way too.
Things could've went a lot different. I could've stumbled out of the gate and tWF could have not sold nearly as well, or at all, and the series would never have gotten written.
So, this is me saying thanks.
[Edited: And to top it off, the series got it's first 1-star review about thirty minutes ago. Thanks guys - you just keep on giving ; ) ]
